Caritas of Hong Kong Empowers Millennials To Change The Game of Elder Care

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Caritas of Hong Kong is changing the way we care for our ever-growing population of elders.

Caritas is changing the future for those in need by leading the Millennials to nurture the Boomer generation with dignity and grace. The current circumstance of our growing aging population leaves many families facing elders that they have to care for. With elder abuse awareness on the rise, many groups are leading the way for a senior life with purpose and dignity, one of these groups is Caritas.

Caritas's primary purpose is to offer the poor and distressed comfort, with the aim of addressing some of the social hardships and inequalities in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in 1979, Services for the Elderly has commissioned to provide various services to meet the multi-dimensional needs of elders and their caregivers. The services included Elderly Centre, District Elderly Centre, Day Care Centre for the Elderly, Care & Attention Home, Nursing Home, Integrated Home Care Services, and Enhanced Home & Community Care Services.

As more Millennials, today are caring for their elder Boomer generation than ever before we are at a unique time in history. The value of this multi-generational exchange offers wisdom, knowledge, history and lifelong experiences. This is a very unique time, in the past, many elders were not recognized for their significant value and they were undervalued and considered even possible for some a family burden.

Many around the world have taken a stand for elderly care including, NFL star Fran Tarkenton, Kerri Kasem daughter of Casey Kasem, and Hong Kong movie actor Jack Chan and Alice Tso just to name a few.

"I have had the honor to have served first hand as a volunteer for Caritas. I truly understand in my heart what other families face, as I have experienced this, growing up as the caregiver to my elderly grandparents" stated Alice Tso, Founder & CEO Alice Tso International, a Relational & Wealth Performance Expert, International Speaker & humanitarian.

Caritas of Hong Kong is changing the future for those in need. Caritas is a charitable organization, founded by the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong. It started with relief and rehabilitation services to the poor and the distressed and went on to expand to involve social service, education service, medical service, hospitality service, and many others.
