Team Vivi Real Estate Lists Historic Denver Domicile of Legendary Earl Reum

DENVER, May 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Reum property, located at 827 Milwaukee Street, Denver, CO 80206, has barely been touched for 57 years and overflows with old character and charm. "This magic single-family house is in need of your love and attention to make it perfect," said Realtor Vivi Gloriod, founder of Team Vivi Real Estate at Your Castle Real Estate.

The historic home has great bones with a 2-year-old roof and newer boiler. The four-bedroom, two-bath, 3,354-square-foot home is selling for $792,500. There will also be an estate sale on May 16. Items for sale include dining room furniture, antique-style hutches, and personal magical items.

Dr. Earl Reum, aka "Mr. Student Council," was a high school speech teacher who enjoyed magic. For Earl, who passed away in 2010, magic was a vehicle of communication. His goal with magic was to open the minds of others and foster curiosity about life. Earl was a longtime member of the Magic Collectors Association. As a master of magic, as well as juggling and ventriloquism, he performed in more than 1,200 shows for the Red Cross, the USO and parent-teacher associations.

Additionally, the first program ever televised on Denver's educational station, KRMA, was his "Earl's House," which aired for three years. But behind all the clowning was a caring father of four children and a thoughtful man who earned a doctorate in education and had the largest collection of antiquarian magic books in the state -- more than 3,000 volumes.

Earl, a Denver native, was a graduate of South High School and a teacher at Merrill Junior High. Earl was also the coordinator of student activities for the Jefferson County School District. He was a world-class speaker that provided a lifetime of training and leadership to countless students and activity advisers around the nation.

Earl was featured in an article of a special issue of Life magazine, dedicated to the theme of "Teenage Fun," at age 17. When he was 18, Earl was the subject of national recognition when he received the Bob Feller Award. As a youth, he also received the American Legion Award for "Contribution to Democracy" and was a scholarship winner of the Denver Elks Club. In 1981, Earl was chosen as the Jefferson County Board's Citizen of the Year.

In the end, Earl Reum persuaded millions of teenagers to dream big. He also left a lasting mark on the city of Denver.
