Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan Team Up With Habitat for Humanity to Begin Construction on a Home in Prince Albert


PRINCE ALBERT, SK, May 10, 2019 /CNW/ - The governments of Canada and Saskatchewan are collaborating with Habitat for Humanity in Prince Albert to help support another Saskatchewan family in need of a safe and affordable place to call home.

Today, the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), along with the Honourable Joe Hargrave, Minister of Crown Investments Corporation and Member of the Legislative Assembly for Prince Albert Carlton, on behalf of the Honourable Paul Merriman, Minister of Social Services and Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC), and Jan Thomas, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Prince Albert, announced the construction of a new Habitat for Humanity (Habitat) home in Prince Albert.

Located at 1870 13th Street West, the Habitat home will be a three-bedroom bungalow totaling approximately 1,350 feet or 125 square metres.
