ServerMonkey Achieves e-Stewards Certifications as Responsible Recycler

HOUSTON, April 24, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ServerMonkey, a full-service information technology partner specializing in new and refurbished servers and networking equipment, is pleased to announce the company has achieved e-Stewards certification. This voluntary, top industry certification demonstrates ServerMonkey's commitment to helping protect against environmental and human health impacts from improper recycling, in addition to promoting safe and effective recovery and reuse of IT equipment.

As a company that recycles and sells refurbished IT hardware, and provides IT Asset Disposition services, ServerMonkey already met industry best practices, says Bashar Hindi, Vice President of Sales. This certification "makes it official."

"ServerMonkey has always been committed to conducting business in an environmentally responsible and socially conscious manner, but any vendor can make that claim," he says. "This certification reassures our customers we meet the highest standards for responsible recycling."

e-Stewards certification is a leading global program designed to ensure proper handling and disposal of old electronic equipment, and it is geared toward the electronics recyclers, refurbishers and processors. It is the highest standard for globally responsible electronics recycling and reuse.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency supports and endorses e-Stewards as the accredited certification standard in existence. To achieve certification, companies must prove through audits and other means they meet the specific high-bar standards required. After certification is awarded, each independent accredited certifying body provides oversight to ensure the companies continue to meet those high standards.
