Grange Insurance Association Celebrates Its 125th Anniversary
SEATTLE, April 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In the spring of 1894, a community of farmers came together in a barn in White Salmon, Wash. Their vision was simple: to start a fire insurance cooperative that would serve their local community. They called themselves the Washington Fire Relief Association.
Over the years, we've acquired a number of companies that have been consolidated into Grange Insurance Association (GIA) and Granwest Property Casualty (GPC). Today, GIA and GPC are enjoying a legacy of 125 years of exemplary service in the insurance industry.
On April 19, 2019, GIA and GPC will be celebrating their 125th year with a theme that goes back to their origin: neighbors helping neighbors. Deeply rooted in farming and agricultural communities, GIA and GPC have expanded in recent decades to serve a wide variety of local communities across the West.
GIA and GPC have been successful for 125 years because our mission is still relevant. We remain focused on providing our policyholders with the peace of mind that comes with knowing their homes and farms have excellent coverage and that we will be around to help when the unexpected happens.
