Hate Speech Online: Should Social Media be Moderated?


LOS ANGELES, April 18, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Join LA Law Library and moderator Beverly White, General Assignment Reporter with NBC4, as we explore the nation's debate over restrictions on hate speech and why social media platforms are scrambling to define acceptable speech online.  A distinguished panel of legal and policy experts will discuss what government's role should be in regulating speech online and whether social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook are protected by the First Amendment.
