April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month: Here's How to Help Your Local Shelter

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., April 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- April kicks off Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, an observance dedicated to the wellbeing of animals. As a company committed to helping people live happier and safer with their pets, Invisible Fence asks the community to unite around this cause.

To raise awareness for Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month, Invisible Fence® Brand is hosting a national contest to raise awareness for animal cruelty and promote local adoptions. Help make a difference and nominate your local shelter!

Raising Awareness for Animal Cruelty
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month addresses several issues including pets abandoned to shelters. According to the ASPCA, over 6.5 million pets enter shelters every year. Only 23% of dogs are adopted from shelters and humane societies.

To raise awareness for shelter adoptions and say "thank you" to staff and volunteers who dedicate time to these animals year-round, Invisible Fence is hosting a national Shelter Donation Giveaway on Facebook where the public can nominate their local shelter for a chance to win a $3,000 donation. Nominations are accepted from April 1- 30, 2019.
