Riverside, CA Law Firm Announces It will be Offering a $1,000 Autism Scholarship

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Mar. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Stephen Sweigart and the entire staff at Sharp Criminal Lawyers have announced a new scholarship to assist persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASM or autism).

ASD refers to a wide range of conditions. Those conditions are characterized by various challenges, including challenges involving social skills, speech, and nonverbal communication. Autism does not consist of one single condition, but rather includes many subtypes, and they are often influenced by a combination of factors, both hereditary and environmental.

Although individualized education programs and similar options may be available, they usually target younger individuals. The fact remains, however, that almost half of autistic individuals have, at age 25, never held a paying job. And more than half of younger adults remain both unenrolled and unemployed during the two-year period following high school.

The aim of current educational scholarship is to help assist those with ASD in furthering their education at a college, university, junior college or trade school. The funds will be earmarked to pay a portion of the tuition costs at the educational institution chosen by the applicant. It is hoped that this will provide an incentive not only for the successful applicant, but also for all participants, to further their schooling and achieve their educational and related goals.

If you are interested in applying for the scholarship, you are encouraged to visit the firm's website, which contains the details of the application process (including the online application form), as well as the privacy policy and other pertinent information. Applications must be submitted by February 17, 2020. Questions should be directed to the address below. We strongly prefer that all questions be submitted by email:
