DATAMARK Announces Partnership with Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA)

EL PASO, Texas, March 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PHEAA to experience substantial improvements leveraging DATAMARK's Document Management expertise

DATAMARK Incorporated, an El Paso-based global leader in Business Process Services (BPS) since 1989, recently partnered with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), providing them with end-to-end digital mailroom and document management services. PHEAA services federal and commercial loans, and administers state grants and other student aid programs for college students.

Through this partnership with PHEAA, DATAMARK expanded its U.S. operations to include Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where PHEAA is headquartered.

"This partnership extends our domestic facility footprint as well as the industries we service," DATAMARK President Bill Randag said. "We strive to build long lasting relationships with all of our clients, and we are extremely excited to launch this new partnership with PHEAA."

PHEAA began the search for a supplier for digital mailroom services when the agency decided that they wanted to bring the benefits of outside expertise to their customer-base. PHEAA's decision-making process began with a deep analysis of their processes while carefully considering the potential benefits of partnering with an expert vendor.

The transition will enable the agency to experience increased efficiencies through technological enhancements and business processes improvements as DATAMARK migrates to a new system that will comprehensively handle incoming paper and electronic mail as well as document scanning, classification, and data capture.

According to James Steeley, President and CEO of PHEAA, the agency expects to see substantial improvements and cost savings by allowing DATAMARK to process approximately 3.5 million documents annually. This will allow for an increase in processing capabilities geared toward program support to help students pay for college.

DATAMARK began initial operations from the existing PHEAA facilities in October 2018, with plans set in motion for a fully-operational DATAMARK facility to open in Q2 of 2019. The new Harrisburg facility will be the first for DATAMARK in Pennsylvania. DATAMARK currently has U.S. facilities in both El Paso and San Antonio, Texas as well as multiple international facilities across Mexico and India.
