EMA to Present Research Findings on TLS 1.3 Adoption During New Webinar
BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), a leading IT and data management research and consulting firm, today announced it will host a research webinar titled "TLS 1.3 Adoption in the Enterprise: Growing Encryption Use Extends to New Standard," featuring Paula Musich, Research Director of security and risk management at EMA.
Despite security and operational concerns expressed by industry groups over the implications of changes to the TLS transport encryption standard, the new TLS 1.3 specification moved forward without modification in August 2018. EMA's new research sought to gauge user awareness, concerns, and enablement plans for the newly minted standard.
EMA surveyed 249 IT executives and practitioners focused on enterprise security to assess their readiness to adopt TLS 1.3, worries over the operational and security implications of the new standard, and how TLS 1.3 fits into broader trends around the use of encryption in the enterprise.
During this webinar, Musich will discuss the findings of this research, as well as:
The changes in the TLS 1.3 specification and their positive and potentially negative implications
Awareness of those implications and concerns among respondents
