The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® Kicks-off Local 2019 Students of the Year Campaign


SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 31, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Silicon Valley Chapter has announced the 17 Candidate Teams, comprised of 40 local high school students, who have signed up for Students of the Year® presented by Silicon Valley Bank. This is an innovative and fierce 7-week fundraising competition for exemplary high school students where students and their teams activate their personal networks to raise critical funds. LLS invests these funds to advance breakthrough treatments and to support the more than 1.3 million blood cancer patients in the U.S. The teams who raise the most money at the end of the 7-week competition, from January 11th ? March 2nd, earns the title, "Student(s) of the Year" (SOY). Top local fundraisers become eligible to win the national title.
