Podcast Transforms Lives by Teaching Skills to Deal With Anxiety, Worry, Stress, Body Image, and More

ENCINO, Calif., Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Parents and children alike are learning skills for anxiety relief, and other tools for mental wellness, from a new podcast. Dear Anxiety, a production of GoZen!, premiered in January 2019 and made an immediate impact on its large community of listeners.

Co-host Renee Jain, MAPP, and founder of GoZen!, originally conceived of the show as another means toward her goal of positively affecting the mental wellness of one million children before 2020. Reception for the program far surpassed her expectations.

"Within hours of release, we had thousands of listeners. I was immediately getting emails from people thanking us for our work. One woman told me she was listening to the show with tears streaming down her face because she was so happy to know that she and her son weren't alone with their difficult emotions. That was incredible. That is why we do this work."

GoZen! is respected mainly for its innovative use of animations to teach kids the tools of resilience. Their programs are used by parents, schools, and therapists to help reach children who suffer with anxiety, fear, anger, OCD, perfectionism, negative thoughts, and many other issues. Each episode of the Dear Anxiety podcast addresses one such issue, however, parents are using the information not only help their kids, but help themselves. "It's applicable to pretty much any human," said one listener. Another claimed "GoZen! and Renee Jain's content have changed my life."

Ed Crasnick, an Emmy winning writer and comedian, hosts Dear Anxiety with Jain. Crasnick is not shy about sharing his own mental wellness struggles, and brings not only compassion for others, but a sharp sense of humor to the program. "If psychotherapy could be converted to frequent flyer miles, I'd be eligible for a free trip to Pluto," he jokes. "I'm a hot mess, but I can still talk about my mental health. And I don't have to be perfect.... the point is to be conscious about what you're doing as opposed to just living on autopilot.... That's what we want to talk about here."

Dear Anxiety is currently playing on iTunes, but Jain and Crasnick promise the show will soon appear on Google Play, Stitcher, and in other venues.
