Leading National K-12 Ed-Tech Provider Seeks All Innovative Educators

CHANDLER, Ariz., Dec. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Odysseyware®, a leading provider of customizable online courses and digital curriculum for K-12 education, today announced the kickoff of its annual Educator Impact Awards [https://www.odysseyware.com/ed-impact-awards]. The awards program calls for the nomination of any educator who uses Odysseyware programs in creative and beneficial ways to inspire students to reach their greatest potential.

Nominations and packet submissions will be accepted beginning December 13, 2018 and educators can download the application packet to begin their process to apply for up to three award categories.

New categories this year, reflective of the changing education landscape, include "Virtual Instruction Teacher" and "Odysseyware® +NWEAtm Teacher."

"Educators hold the most important job for the future success of our country, yet they often don't get the recognition they deserve," said Josey Borman, Senior Vice President, Product Development at Odysseyware. "For that reason, Odysseyware recognizes educators who are making an impact in the lives of their students and use our digital curriculum for teaching and learning. We encourage school officials and fellow educators to nominate educators in one or more award categories. "

• Blended/Flipped Learning Classroom Teacher
• Virtual Instruction Teacher
• Alternative Education Teacher
• Competency/Mastery Learning Teacher
• Career & Technical Education Teacher
• Odysseyware® +NWEAtm Teacher

Thirty finalists, including five nominees from each category, will be announced on April 30, 2019. An assortment of exciting prizes, including a mobile device storage cart (Connect30) from Spectrum Industries, Inc. and other valuable giveaways, will be awarded to one first-place winner in each of the six categories. The four runners-up in each category will also be recognized on the Odysseyware website and receive a gift of appreciation.

Finalists will be notified in writing on May 14, 2019, and recognized at the Odysseyware Educator Impact Awards reception, taking place during the week of the ISTE Conference, at 6 p.m. June 24, 2019 in Philadelphia, at the 'legendary' Moshulu, the world's largest and oldest square-rigged sailing vessel still afloat. ISTE attendance is not required to receive an award.
