Dr. Babette Gladstein Heals New York City's Pets with the World's First Smart Laser

NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Babette Gladstein, a holistic veterinarian in New York City that makes house calls, today announced that she has added the new K Laser Platinum 4, a Class IV laser and also the world's first smart laser, to the number of therapeutic treatments she uses to heal dogs and cats.

This upgrade in machinery makes Dr. Gladstein the only veterinarian in New York City to provide expert clinical treatment with up to 24 watts of power across four wavelengths using the K Laser Platinum 4.

"What makes this K Laser so effective is its four therapeutic wavelengths that are capable of deeper penetrating to facilitate acceleration of healing and it's the only true super pulse wavelength laser," stated Dr. Gladstein. "K Laser is a pain-free option that starts working instantly, triggering the body's natural healing mechanisms, without drugs or surgery. By increasing blood flow and oxygen to the area we accelerate the healing process of the body. We aren't doing anything the body wouldn't normally do, but rather we're speeding up the process."

In addition to acupuncture, prolotherapy and physical therapy, Dr. Gladstein has been using K Laser therapy for nearly ten years to enhance the rate and quality of healing of common ailments in dogs and cats including, arthritis, ligament sprains, neck and back pain, hip dysplasia, chronic wounds, and others.

Dr. Gladstein continued: "The Platinum 4 is proving to be an exceptional addition to my practice. Most recently, I healed a perianal fistula, also known as anal furunculosis, which is a serious medical condition that most commonly affects German Shepherd dogs, but may also occur in other purebred or mixed breed dogs. The anti-inflammatory properties of laser therapy helped to quickly and painlessly heal the lesions caused by this condition."

Laser therapy works by stimulating production of cellular energy in damaged cells and by enhancing the cell membrane permeability. This promotes the speed and the quality of healing, enhances the exchange of nutrients and wastes across the cell membrane and improves elasticity of injured tissues. Laser therapy also modulates pain and reduces inflammation. It can be used immediately on acute injuries, over broken skin and over metal implants.
