Scott Heefner Joins BCS as Chief Strategy Officer

LAUREL, Md., Dec. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BCS, LLC, a Montero Williams International (MWI) company, today announced that it has hired veteran engineering, technology and management consulting executive Scott Heefner to serve as its first-ever Chief Strategy Officer. Heefner, who most recently served as Managing Director of Thoreau Solutions, LLC, assumed the role in November.

"We are so pleased to have Scott on board," BCS CEO and MWI Chairman Alan Williams said. "We look forward to leveraging his deep, diverse and extensive experience and his technical and market expertise for our clients."

Heefner's role will involve supporting Williams in developing, communicating, executing and sustaining corporate strategic initiatives consistent with the company's "BCS 2020" initiative, which is its two-year growth plan collaboratively created by senior leadership this summer. Heefner will also drive business development associated with BCS's critical pursuits throughout the federal government arena.

"I'm thrilled to be part of an organization that is poised for growth and actively planning to not only manage that growth but to add to it exponentially," Heefner said. "The team at BCS is incredibly talented and well-respected by clients and competitors alike. I'm very much looking forward to working with them."

Heefner joins the company shortly after BCS announced strategic partnerships with MillerMusmar, an accounting and advisory firm with unique experience in the government contracting domain, and with Kaizen Human Capital, a boutique human capital and organizational development firm. BCS was acquired by MWI in February and has set ambitious growth goals, particularly within the energy arena, where it has deep subject matter expertise and customer relationships that span decades.

Heefner's past professional posts include serving as Principal and Regional Vice President at Law Environmental, as Federal Programs Director for the ERM Program Management Company, as a Business Unit Leader at TASC, and as a Principal with the strategy and technology consulting firm, Booz Allen Hamilton. He earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Utah State University.
