Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club Sells with Julia B. Fee Sotheby's International Realty

MAMARONECK, N.Y., Nov. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Julia B. Fee Sotheby's International Realty announced today the sale of the Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., listed with Arlene Gibbs of the firm's Larchmont brokerage. The waterside Hamptons-style resort, which offers the rare distinction of being located just 25 minutes outside of New York City, was last offered for sale at $10 million.

According to Gibbs, the sale will allow for the club's continued enjoyment by the community.

The property's centerpiece is an 18,000 square-foot mansion with a 6,000 square-foot waterfront ballroom, designed in 1885 by Stanford White of McKim, Mead and White?the architectural firm responsible for such iconic works as the Boston Public Library, the East and West Wings of the White House and more. Several additional buildings complement the property including the beach cabanas, boat house, and original gatehouse and turreted carriage house, dating back to the late 1800s when the waterfront estate was home to New York financier Charles W. Osborn.
