Perfecting medical practices to enhance health-care delivery to Quebecers

MONTRÉAL, Nov. 14, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - On November 16, more than 1,500 medical specialists will attend the Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec's 11th annual Interdisciplinary Training Day. On the agenda are more than 25 training sessions for medical specialists and other health professionals.

The Training Day provides opportunities for professional exchanges that foster knowledge-sharing on a variety of common issues. Continuing education for medical specialists, who are committed to improving the health system, contributes concretely to enhancing the care provided to Quebecers.

A few highlights of the program

12:15 p.m. ? Address by the President ? Dr. Diane Francoeur will discuss her vision of the health network and the importance of caring for it, training to perform better and doing more to improve care for the public. She will be available afterwards to answer questions from the media in the press room of the JFI.

3:35 p.m. ? Lecture by neurologist Dr. Robert A. Stern (Boston University School of Medicine) on the long-term effects of repetitive brain trauma.

5:15 p.m. ? Lecture by Dr. Teri Fisher (University of British Columbia) on voice-first technology in eHealth ? We will present his innovative vision of eHealth and the voice assistants as tools of the future in the service of medicine.
