ST. LOUIS, Nov. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A pre-Thanksgiving snow storm may come as a surprise to St. Louis, but snow isn't going to stop us from celebrating this special occasion.
The Loop Trolley dedication and Golden Spike ceremony will now be held at Delmar Hall. (6133 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63112) Doors open at 9:30 AM to the public with the ceremony beginning at 10:30 AM. Dignitaries will provide remarks and share important details regarding operations. City and county officials will also drive the ceremonial "Golden Spike" symbolically uniting the city and the county.
Operating safely for passengers is our number one priority. With the forecasted weather conditions, we will determine tomorrow if the Trolley will be running following the dedication ceremony.
We do want to note that significant snowfall or freezing rain will suspend service of the Trolley. Notification of any service disruption will be provided via the Loop Trolley website (www.looptrolley.com), social media channels, and publicly posted notices at each of the Loop Trolley station stops.
Start of revenue service will continue when track conditions permit safe operation. With the weather now turning cold, we also want to make sure riders know that our Trolleys are heated and platforms will be cleared when snowfalls occur.
We are very excited to officially dedicate the Trolley open for public service tomorrow.
