GroundUp Announces Commitment to Help Flippable Support Key State Races

NEW YORK, July 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- GroundUp and Flippable today announced a partnership to drive small-dollar donations to "flippable" state legislative campaigns across the US. GroundUp's innovative campaign donation technology rounds up cashless purchases to the nearest dollars and donates the spare change to progressive political causes. Flippable will drive these donations to where they will have the greatest return on investment: races for state government.

GroundUp's technology allows users to donate to key Democratic races of their choice and maximize the impact of their donations by evenly distributing the funds across the selected races in a grassroots effort to flip states blue.

"This is a great opportunity to support the work of an established organization that has a great track record for bringing people together and supporting Democrats across the country," said GroundUp CEO, Jeremy Gottlieb.

"At Flippable, so many of our users are looking for ways to integrate their political values into their day-to-day lives and consumer decisions," said Catherine Vaughan, Flippable's CEO. "We're excited to work with GroundUp to make political donations easy and frictionless."

GroundUp was developed by, Eli Stein and Jeremy Gottlieb, to give people a safe, secure and easy way to make a difference in the political process and support the issues they care about.

"In speaking with people after the 2016 election, it became clear that there was nothing out there that allowed people to learn about and donate to the most competitive races and that's what has been holding our age group back from getting involved financially. People want to know that their money is going to the races where it will make the biggest impact. We wanted to make things safe, simple and convenient," added Gottlieb.

By concentrating donations on candidates in the most contested state races, the collective donating power of millions can provide a boost to a nationwide strategy to flip state governments.

About GroundUp

GroundUp's mission is to allow Americans living in all corners of the country to make an equal impact on U.S. elections, not just the wealthiest among us and lobbying groups. By rounding up change from cashless purchases, and using GroundUp to identify swing races where even small contributions can make a big difference, Americans everywhere can elect national leaders to protect the issues they care about.

About Flippable

At Flippable, we believe in creating a government for the people. That's why we focus on states, where the rules of our country's democracy are written. Since our launch in 2016, we've helped elect 17 Democrats in game-changing state races. We didn't do it alone: over 50K people got involved by volunteering, spreading the word, and joining forces to donate nearly $1,000,000. In 2018, we're supporting 100 candidates running for the most critical state seats.
