Cash 5 Jackpots Won in Mechanicsburg and Chambersburg

MIDDLETOWN, Pa., May 21, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Back-to-back Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 jackpots were won over the weekend in Franklin and Cumberland counties.

A jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket for the Saturday, May 19, drawing matched all five balls drawn, 20-27-30-41-42, to win $400,000, less withholding. Sheetz, 1819 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg, Franklin County, earns a $500 bonus for selling the ticket. More than 27,800 other Cash 5 tickets also won prizes in the drawing.

For the Sunday, May 20, Cash 5 drawing, a jackpot-winning ticket matched all five balls drawn, 09-14-24-28-32, to win $125,000, less withholding. Karns Foods, 4780 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, earns a $500 selling bonus. That drawing also produced more than 16,900 other winning Cash 5 tickets, statewide.  

Winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed and tickets validated. Cash 5 prizes expire one year from the drawing date. Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket should sign the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office.

How to play Cash 5: Players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may select their own numbers using a Cash 5 playslip or opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 is drawn each evening and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. Chances of winning the jackpot prize are 1 in 962,598; the overall chances of winning any prize are about 1 in 10.5.
