Death of an inmate from Drumheller Institution
DRUMHELLER, AB, May 11, 2018 /CNW/ - On May 10, 2018, Gary Richard Walker, an inmate from Drumheller Institution died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness.
At the time of his death, Mr. Walker, 72 years old, had been serving a sentence of 3 years for Fraud since December 8, 2016.
The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
