Diamond Resorts Members Embark on Once-in-a-Lifetime Adventure to Cuba

LAS VEGAS, March 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Diamond Resortstm, a global leader in the hospitality and vacation ownership industries, is helping a small group of members immerse themselves in the classic culture of Cuba with an expertly planned Member Escorted Journey.

The journey sold out shortly after being announced and was only available to Gold and Platinum members of The Club®, Diamond's points-based vacation ownership program. Diamond partners with The Big Journey Company to deliver the once-in-a-lifetime journeys, which include adventures to the Great Wall of China, cruises to Antarctica and safaris in Kenya.

Members began their journey on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Havana, where they checked into their accommodations at Hotel Melia Cohiba, in the heart of Old Havana. They enjoyed a welcome dinner and live music, and then had an opportunity to explore the city, before traveling the next day to Viñales, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A local guide took them on a tour of the tobacco plantations and a hike through the Cuban countryside.

For the remainder of their journey, members will explore more of Havana on a 1950s themed Hemingway tour in classic American cars. They'll enjoy traditional cuisine and plenty of live music. The journey provides members a unique opportunity to dive into the Cuban culture and explore its many bustling traditions.
