VICTOR, N.Y., Sept. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- CLEARCOVE SECURES TWO NEW BREWERIES?CONTINUES TO MAKE INROADS IN FOOD & BEVERAGE MARKET
ClearCove, Inc., a leading wastewater-energy and resource recovery company, today announced it has reached double digits with its Food and Beverage customer base. The Company recently secured two new breweries, Fat Head's Brewery and Ellicottville Brewing Company to add to its growing list of customers, which includes Dairy Farmers of America and Altstadt Brewery in Texas, among others.
Fat Head's Brewery, a regional brewery with four locations?including brewery operations in Cleveland, Ohio and Portland, Oregon?signed an agreement with ClearCove that will enable the Brewery to minimize its environmental impact on the local wastewater treatment plant, and in turn eliminate its Municipal wastewater surcharges.
Gary Miller, ClearCove's President & COO, provided additional insight, "With Fat Head's expanding its operations to enable them to produce up to 150,000 barrels of beer per year, our unique licensing model provides much needed economic benefit along with a significant opportunity for water recovery which is essential in today's world."
Ellicottville Brewing Company, which has three locations in New York State, is delivering on its sustainability mission with its acquisition of ClearCove's industry-leading ClearCapture wastewater treatment and resource recovery system.
Miller continued, "There are literally tens of thousands of Food and Beverage operations in the US alone that would benefit greatly from our industry-leading technology. The adoption of efficient and cost effective wastewater treatment solutions is a critical success factor in sustainability terms, for Food and Beverage producers everywhere. There has been a recent shift in this realization across the world. We are currently in advanced talks with dozens of producers in the United States and beyond."
COMPANY HAS TEN ISSUED PATENTS, 37 PATENTS PENDING
Alongside its customer milestone announcement, the Company also received several additional patents, taking its patent portfolio to ten patents issued and 37 patents pending, including 16 international filings.
ClearCove's innovative resource recovery technology, which is being installed in Breweries, Dairies, Wineries and Food Processing operations across the United States, recovers more water for reuse (over 90%) and provides a greater opportunity for energy production than currently exists, due to the extraction of higher quality organics from wastewater.
Commenting on the news, Greg Westbrook, ClearCove's CEO, "Our Intellectual Property portfolio is a key component of our business, reflected in the considerable investment we have made on this front. Combined with our strategy, people, partners and ongoing innovation, we believe our IP, which includes several fundamental patents, robustly positions us for sustainable market growth." Westbrook continued, "Our international patent count is a statement of intent for future expansion into overseas markets, including Europe and Asia."
