Over $154 Million in PA Lottery Scratch-Offs Prizes Won in July

MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Aug. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Offs players claimed $154,414,298 in prizes during July, including three prizes of $1 million claimed by players in Bucks, Lackawanna and Philadelphia counties.

Two of those $1 million wins were on the $1,000,000 Silver & Gold scratch-off game; the other was on the Million Dollar Gold Rush scratch-off game.

Other notable scratch-offs prizes claimed during July included five prizes of $300,000, one $250,000 prize, and 15 prizes of $100,000.

Winner lists for all games are posted monthly in the Winners section of palottery.com. The lists include all winners of $1,000 or more, although many prizes below that threshold were won.

Scratch-Offs currently offer prizes ranging from a free ticket to $3 million. Prior to purchase, players should review and understand the rules, prizes remaining and specific chances of winning found at palottery.com. The overall chances of winning any prize vary by game and are printed on the back of each scratch-off ticket. Overall chances are expressed across all tickets produced in a game and not by tickets sold per pack.

Chances of winning are not influenced by where a ticket is sold. Random distribution of tickets ensures the Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold. Prizes must be claimed within one year of a Scratch-Off game's posted end-sale date.

About Us: The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery to direct all proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since ticket sales began in 1972, it has contributed nearly $28 billion to fund property tax and rent rebates, transportation, care services, prescription assistance, and local services including senior centers and meals.

Players must be 18 or older. Do not give lottery games to children. Please play responsibly. Call 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537) for help with a compulsive gambling problem.
