In response to this lawsuit the Louisiana Attorney General, Jeff Landry, released a statement expressing his intention and preparedness to defend the laws in place. Liz shared her agreement with the Attorney General, "We think these laws are constitutional and we don't really see any difference in this particular lawsuit and the lawsuit that was dismissed, and filed by the same plaintiff, a couple years ago." Murrill went on to say, "They are working very diligently, not just in our state but in other states, to try and expand the Hellerstedt opinion."

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, the host of Washington Watch, added, "It sounds like they're just throwing everything they can against the wall to see if maybe the court will give them something that will stick against the state."

"Let me just say this, I am proud of my state of Louisiana being labeled as... the most pro-life state in the nation. And my hats off to the Attorney General, Jeff Landry, for defending these laws and for the work that his team does," concluded Perkins.
