Tufts Health Plan Employees Demonstrate Their Commitment To The Community At Ninth Annual Volunteer Day


WATERTOWN, Mass., June 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Tufts Health Plan employees are participating in their ninth annual Volunteer Day today, fanning out across Eastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire, helping community organizations with projects ranging from preparing meals for local homeless shelters to providing safer access to the water for athletes with disabilities.

More than 500 Tufts Health Plan employees are signed up to volunteer this year, the organization's biggest turn out to date. Employees will complete more than 1,400 service hours, valued at $41,832 in total hours spent in community. Last year, employees volunteered more than 6,000 hours in community.

Volunteers at the Coleman House project will set up and then enjoy a picnic with the residents followed by a game of trivia.
