Intelligence Community and Industry Veteran Charles Sowell Joins iWorks Corporation as COO


MCLEAN, Va., June 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- iWorks Corporation is pleased to announce government and industry veteran Charlie Sowell has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In his new role, Mr. Sowell will lead the company's Personnel Security Line of Business and Business Development efforts. He will focus on building and improving iWorks' current business opportunities in the personnel security, insider threat, security clearance reform, and background investigation technology markets.

Mr. Sowell brings 30 years of national security experience to the iWorks team, including roles as Deputy Assistant Director for Special Security and Program Executive for Security Clearance Reform as a Senior National Intelligence Service officer at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). He held executive leadership positions at SRA International, ORION Scientific Systems, McDonald Bradley, and, most recently, Salient CRGT. Mr. Sowell retired as a Navy Commander following 27 years of combined active and reserve officer and enlisted service in the intelligence field. He earned a Master of Science degree in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Old Dominion University.
