Custodian Deflects Motion For Transparency In Transperfect Bills With Request For Discovery

WILMINGTON, Del., June 1, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- TransPerfect Custodian Robert Pincus requested discovery of Citizens for a Pro-Business Delaware (CPBD). The request comes soon after CPBD filed a motion for the court to unseal costs totaling many millions in advisor fees and expenses approved by Pincus. The nonprofit requested details on 32 non-public transactions that were approved and filed by Custodian Pincus.

Citizens for a Pro-Business Delaware plans to protect its members from retribution for joining the organization to save TransPerfect and over 4,000 of its employees. "We will not be intimidated by Custodian Pincus. This request is only an attempt to distract the public from his outrageous spending on this case," said Chris Coffey, Campaign Manager of Citizens for a Pro-Business Delaware. "We will protect our members from being bullied. We will fight for their first amendment rights. And we are confident we will prevail."

CPBD continues to rally Delaware residents to support the company's workers and speak out against the forced sale of the successful company. The organization is currently working to pass legislation in Delaware's State Senate.  SB 53, the TransPerfect Bill, would mandate a three-year waiting period when courts force the sale of a privately-held company. CPBD has vowed to persist in the fight for TransPerfect's 4,000 employees whose jobs are threatened by the court's decision.

Citizens for a Pro-Business Delaware is a group made up of more than 2,200 members including employees of the global translation services company TransPerfect as well as concerned Delaware residents, business executives and others. It formed in April of 2016 to focus on raising awareness with Delaware residents, elected officials, and other stakeholders about these issues.
