Wolf Administration Thanks EMS Providers During EMS Week

YORK, Pa., May 26, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Health Secretary Dr. Karen Murphy today observed Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week by thanking the commonwealth's EMS providers for their role in keeping Pennsylvanians healthy and safe.

"EMS providers play a crucial part in delivering urgent and essential care to individuals across Pennsylvania," said Secretary Murphy. "They work tirelessly and selflessly and their dedication is a true testament to the health care field. To the current EMS providers and those who were injured or made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, we thank you for all that you do."

On behalf of Secretary Murphy, Deputy Secretary of Health Planning and Assessment and Acting EMS Director Raphael Barishansky visited White Rose Ambulance in York today to commend the facility's critical care providers.
