Cultivation Technologies Selects Industry Leaders for Cannabis Compliance and Quality Initiative: FOCUS Standards and ROAR Enterprise Software

IRVINE, Ca., May 10, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Cultivation Technologies, Inc. ("CTI"), a leader in medical Cannabis infrastructure, science, and branding, announced today its initiatives surrounding compliance and quality assurance programs for its facilities.

The cannabis industry is maturing to meet the demands of consumers and state agencies to proactively deliver safe, repeatable processes that meet California's proposed MCRSA guidelines. CTI's commitment to deliver premium medical cannabis products will be guided by two related critical systems: Foundation of Cannabis Unified Standards (FOCUS) for quality standards and assessment, and Guardian Data Systems' ROAR for operations management and seed-to-sale tracking.

FOCUS is a federal 501(c)(3), not-for-profit whose mission is to protect public health, consumer safety, and safeguard the environment by promoting integrity in the cannabis industry. FOCUS standards are developed according to World Health Organization guidelines known as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This system ensures that products are consistently produced according to globally established quality standards that diminish the risks inherent in any production process.

"We've been thoroughly impressed with the level of dedication CTI is giving to the development of their manufacturing processes. It speaks volumes about the values of CTI as a company, and their commitment to create safe, consistent, high quality products. We are thrilled to have them on board as a FOCUS Alliance Partner and look forward to their continued success" states Lezli Engelking, FOCUS Founder.

CTI has also selected ROAR by Guardian Data Systems as its ERP. With over a half century of combined experience, Guardian Data Systems is the premier provider of business and financial services to the cannabis industry throughout the United States. This critical integrated platform will fulfill the proposed California state requirements for process transparency.

While the initial integration of ROAR has been completed, CTI's extraction tenant will be the first to implement this process. As it expands, CTI intends to deploy ROAR across all business units for one cohesive system.

Lance Ott, CEO of Guardian Data Systems, applauds the decision, "CTI is at the forefront of cannabis production in the largest market in the world. Their selection of ROAR as their ERP clearly indicates their desire to use best-in-class partners with proven experience."

Justin Beck, Chairman of Cultivation Technologies, explains how these two distinct, industry-leading platforms will address the complexities of compliance "CTI goals are to effectively manage a complex organization featuring multiple entities and transactions, to demonstrate non-diversion of product, to provide stakeholders with full transactional visibility, and to utilize broadly accepted standards which are regarded as best practices by industry leaders."
