Great Place to Work® and Fortune Name Novo Nordisk as one of the country's best workplaces for giving back

PLAINSBORO, N.J., Feb. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Great Place to Work^® and Fortune today recognized Novo Nordisk in the United States as one of the country's "Best Workplaces for Giving Back." Novo Nordisk, a world leader in diabetes care, ranked #16 out of 50 companies on the list.

The Best Workplaces for Giving Back took into consideration feedback from about 240,000 employees in a diverse range of industries, as well as their companies' volunteer programs and charitable giving relative to revenue.

Novo Nordisk and the other winning companies were selected based on responses to the Trust Index^©, Great Place to Work's employee assessment survey. Employees rated their sense that they make a difference in their jobs, the meaningfulness of their work, and the impact they feel their organizations make in the community. The list also took into account company programs and an analysis of anonymous employee comments about their workplaces.
