Dolce Software Labor Management Center Drives Huge Growth through Q4 2018

MISSOULA, Mont., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Dolce Software, the restaurant operations software that connects POS through Payroll, today announced it has ended its Q4 2018 with more than double its sales over the prior 14 months and is experiencing more than 11% growth in sales month-over-month. Dolce has experienced substantial growth in full-service and multi-unit hospitality, validating that restaurants and retailers are turning to Dolce.

Restaurants are under constant pressure to manage their labor processes ? from costs of overtime pay to labor compliance to complex tips distribution straight through the assembly and upload of payroll. Dolce has modernized the labor ecosystem by consolidating the various pieces of the labor puzzle into a single "Labor Center."  Dolce layers scheduled shifts with corresponding time punches in the same visual plane, along with projected and actual sales from the Point of Sale. Thus, a complete view of projected vs actual labor provides a basis for controlling labor costs and all aspects of labor management. The Labor Center replaces report-based workflows with a single dynamic screen.

With Dolce's Advanced Payroll Prep, payroll can be prepared across locations or companies, integrating data like overtime pay, tips, PTO/Sick, break issues, spread of hours, meal credit and training.

"We have automated the manual steps traditionally associated with the preparation of payroll. We've transformed the payroll process through the use of APIs -- an entire enterprise payroll can be published with the click of a button,"  said Peter Lambros, co-founder and CEO.

Dolce integrates with leading payroll processors: ADP (Run and Workforce Now), Kronos, Paychex, and Paycom through powerful API connections as well as restaurant management software Restaurant 365 and Ctuit. "Customers now understand the power of integrating POS, Labor and Payroll and they love it! No files or Excel." said  Dolce Software co-founder Glenn Kreisel.

Users have experienced transformative gains with Dolce. Susie Oddo, owner of Loyal Q & Brew, a multi-unit restaurant group Atlanta describes her workflow transformation, "Payroll preparation and tips distribution used to take us a full three days to complete. With Dolce, we've reduced that time to a fraction. And, for the first time, our managers have the tools to manage their labor costs."

"Dolce simplifies disparate systems integration for companies and it's gratifying to see our platform being adopted so widely and becoming a trusted business service," continued Kreisel. "Becoming a platform that can serve hundreds of millions of users is an exciting phase of our initial vision."

The most important metric in the restaurant industry moving forward is average transaction per square foot. In Morningstar's 10 Predictions for the Restaurant Industry in 2019,  "Early technology adopters" will be the beneficiaries of emerging technologies, which are poised to make "a more pronounced contribution in 2019 for those restaurant operators who understand their specific value propositions, and have invested in appropriate front- and back-of-house technologies." Morningstar notes that digital technologies are making data available with the push of a button "with transactions per square foot being one of the best benchmarks operators and investors can use to monitor a concept's ability to make necessary changes."1

Hospitality and retail groups in the US already using Dolce Software include Schulson Collective Restaurant Group, Folkart Restaurant Management Group, Great Harvest Bread Company, Hox Hotels, and Good2Go Convenience Stores.

"We are saving time and money because now it's easier to manage employees across multiple units with varying wages and roles, overtime, and POS integration of sales and tips with employee name matching across payroll," says Amy Biller, Operations Manager at Folkart Restaurant Management Group in Chicago.
