Getty Images Adds Two Esteemed Staff Entertainment Photographers


LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Getty Images, a world leader in visual communication, today announced it is hiring two new staff entertainment photographers: Amy Sussman and Rich Fury.

Both Sussman and Fury have been working with Getty Images in a freelance capacity and with awards season officially underway, Getty Images is expanding its entertainment team to deliver industry-leading content to consumers around the world.

"We are thrilled to bring on Amy and Rich as staff photographers and capitalize on their unique talents as we enter awards season," said VP of Entertainment Kirstin Benson. "Both of these photographers have a deep understanding of the content that brands and consumers want in 2019."

Sussman, who has been working as a freelance photographer in New York City for over 14 years, specializes in celebrity portraits, fashion, corporate and entertainment events. Over the last decade, she has worked with AP Images, Invision by The Associated Press, Shutterstock, WWD and Variety magazine. 

Additionally, Sussman spent over six years as a top freelance, entertainment photographer for Getty Images during which time she also shot news and feature stories for Corbis.

Fury has been a freelance photographer in the Los Angeles area for over a decade and has contributed to both Invision by AP Images and Getty Images.  He began freelancing for Getty Images in 2017, covering events ranging from concerts to portrait sessions with A-list talent, film festivals and award shows. His work has been regularly featured in publications such as People Magazine, Rolling Stone, Billboard and TIME.

Sussman and Fury have photographed dozens of world-renowned events, including the MET Gala, NY Fashion Week and the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Both will continue to leverage strategic relationships with celebrities, studios and music labels to generate new and exclusive content for Getty Images and its customers.
