Honoring Service Over Beauty, Ground-breaking "Woman of Achievement" Pageant Selects its 2019 Winners


LONG BEACH, Calif., Dec. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- 2019 NATIONAL WOMAN OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

Attracting actors Elizabeth Cron and Donnell Turner (General Hospital) as well as a prominent member of the Royal Society of Saint George, Matu Ruda Princess Karen Cantrell as guest judges, Marlena Martin, Founder and CEO of Woman of Achievement produced the 5th Anniversary National Woman of Achievement Awards & Pageant aboard the historic Mary in Long Beach, CA on November 4, 2018 to select the 2019 Winners. Nominees were chosen for their excellence in: education, non-profit work, performing arts or public speaking. Winners receive National Woman of Achievement Titles to work and travel throughout the United States. Cash Awards are also given to the top community service platforms including Faith Pallone (Mrs. Texas) who won highest honors for her work focusing on addiction issues with veterans. Other cash award winners included Lauren Bantham (Mrs. Central States) for her work with the "Embrace Grace" Organization for unwed mothers and finally, Jayna Altman who won Ms. U.S. Woman of Achievement 2019 with her own non-profit "I CAN" focusing on how we perceive those with disabilities in society.

This year's event also featured noted presenters: Mindset Coach Barbara Daoust, WFG Financial Strategist Michele Farrell, Cancer Survivor and creator of "Along Comes Hope" Jenny Mulks, Linda Fogg-Phillips, author of "Facebook For Educators" and creator of "Tiny Habits", and Wealth Coach & Speaker:Charles Nguyen.

The contestants competed in front of record numbers aboard the Queen Mary in the Queen's Salon Ballroom. Media and radio outlets (including IHeart Radio) as well as Emmy and Red Carpet photography outlets attended to produce the 2019 show.Judging categories included: Speech and/or Performing Arts, Personal Interview, Platform (volunteer work) Interview, Lifestyle in Fitness and Formal Wear. After preliminary judging was complete, the final selection panel consisted of the following judges:

A highlight of the evening was when The Royal Society of St. George presented the "Diana Award" also known as the "Lady of Achievement" to the person who best embodied the class, style and volunteer spirit of Lady Diana. This year's prestigious Lady Diana Award was announced as Ms. Central States, Lauren Bantham.

Also honored for the 5th Anniversary Production were "Legacy Queens", former winners selected based upon on-going community work and consistent support of Woman of Achievement. 2019 Woman of Achievement "Legacy Queen" honorees included:
