Russell Reynolds Associates Hires Marla Oates

HOUSTON, Nov. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Russell Reynolds Associates, a leading global search and leadership advisory firm, today announced that Marla Oates has joined the firm as a member of the Energy and Natural Resources Practice and the Financial Officers team. Based in Houston, she focuses on recruiting and advising C-suite-level finance executives across industries, including energy, natural resources and industrial manufacturing.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Oates was a Director at HitecVision, a large international energy-focused private equity firm. In this role, she assisted in the opening of the firm's first UK office and was also seconded to advise the CEO and CFO of one of HitecVision's largest US private equity investments. Previously, Oates worked for KERN Partners, a large Calgary-based upstream and infrastructure-focused private equity firm. Oates began her career at Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto prior to joining their investment banking team in London.

Oates is a CFA Charterholder. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in finance from the University of Calgary, with honors, and a Master's degree in finance from INSEAD.
