Ultra-Airetm Joins Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Hometm Program as an Innovation Partner

MADISON, Wis., Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ultra-Aire Whole House Ventilating Dehumidifiers is proud to announce its participation in the Department of Energy (DOE) Zero Energy Ready Hometm program as an Innovation Partner. The DOE Zero Energy Ready Home represents a new level of home performance, with rigorous requirements that ensure outstanding levels of energy savings, comfort, health, and durability. Innovation partners are leaders who support a national campaign to educate consumers on the benefits of DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes.

DOE Zero Energy Ready Home Program was designed to help builders develop homes that are sustainable and reach superior levels of performance by being at least 40-50 percent more energy efficient than a typical new home. Zero Energy Ready Home requirements focus on six main categories, which are: comfort and quiet, healthy environment, enhanced durability, quality construction, advanced technology, and energy efficiency.

"As the innovator of whole house ventilating dehumidifiers, Ultra-Aire is in a strong position to help builders not only provide the best in indoor air quality for their customers, but also protect the home and its contents against excess moisture," said Nikki Krueger, industry manager for Ultra-Aire. "We are very excited to be associated with the movement to "Zero" that provides better places for Americans to live, stronger communities, and a more economically and environmentally resilient nation."

According to the DOE, controlling moisture can make your home more energy-efficient, less costly to heat and cool, and more comfortable. All Ultra-Aire whole house ventilating dehumidifiers are designed to work with the home's HVAC system to bring in outdoor air, control the relative humidity throughout the entire home, plus purify the air with a MERV 13 filter. Making it a whole house ventilating, air purifying dehumidifier.
