LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Pupster launches the world's first personalized dog care platform for iOS.
Pupster makes dog parenting simple. When users sign up, they get everything they need to have a happy and healthy dog?a science-based training program, uniquely tailored product recommendations, and an expert they can message with any questions.
The idea came to CEO and co-founder Matt Saucedo when his aging dog Sophie began to develop behavior issues. He was frustrated by the lack of qualified professional help he could find online: "I couldn't trust anything I found on random blogs and forums. My dog is like my child, why would I trust these random sources for help?"
Saucedo realized he wasn't the only dog parent who struggled to find help?in fact, according to the ASPCA's National Rehoming Survey, millions of dogs are abandoned every year in the US because of pet problems. He commented, "The moment I discovered this, I decided to make it my mission to find a solution."
Matt joined forces with Nicole Ellis, a certified professional trainer (CPDT-KA) and Los Angeles based dog expert with over thirteen years of experience working with dogs.
"We came up with the idea for an app where anyone could input information about their dog, and we could use a team of experts, AI algorithms, and natural language processing to recommend the right products like food, bed, and harnesses along with personalized training activities. If users have any problems along the way, they can message or video chat with a personalized expert directly through the Pupster app," explained Saucedo.
Ahead of today's launch, the Pupster team has tested the service with over 3,000 pet parents and has developed partnerships with over 30 adoption programs that receive discounted access to the platform.
