Conqur Endurance Group Announces Houston Dynamo Executive as Chief Commercial Officer

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Conqur Endurance Group, operator of the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon, Pasadena Half Marathon & 5K at the Rose Bowl, Santa Monica Classic, the Los Angeles Road Runners, and several other high-profile endurance events in Southern California, announced today that Steven Powell has been hired as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. As Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Powell will oversee Conqur's registration, sponsorship, marketing, and media divisions.

Mr. Powell is an industry veteran and has extensive experience building brands in burgeoning sports markets, including being named 2012 MLS Commercial Executive of the Year. Over the course of the past 26 years, Mr. Powell has served in senior leadership roles with the Houston Dynamo, the San Jose Earthquakes, New York New Jersey MetroStars, and Hibernian FC of the Scottish Premier League.
