Avocados From Mexico Debuts New Shopper Marketing Programming at PMA 2018

DALLAS, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Avocados From Mexico (AFM), the number-one selling avocado brand in the U.S., will be showcasing their new robust year-round shopper communication platform, initiatives, and partnerships at the upcoming PMA Fresh Summit Convention & Exposition in Orlando, Florida, at the Orange County Convention Center from October 18-20, 2018.

This year, Avocados From Mexico is making a stronger connection with shoppers through the launch of its "Savor Every Moment" shopper communications platform focused on elevating engagement, expanding usage, and increasing basket size. PMA guests can learn more on how this platform increases shopper's path to purchase, gets avocados on the shopping list and drives impulse purchases in-store.

"We are excited to unveil this year's innovative shopper and trade programming at PMA," said Alvaro Luque, President of Avocados From Mexico. "By having a holistic trade show presence, retail partners will learn how our latest shopper marketing strategy offers 360° support to showcase fresh avocados for every meal and every occasion across the path to purchase."

AFM will be launching its new year of national shopper marketing initiatives strategically designed to make 2018?2019 a resounding success. The lineup of partnerships includes CPG brands Ritas®, Tabasco® Sauce, Smithfield® Bacon and Tostitos® Tortilla Chips to support Fall Football, the Big Game, the Basketball Championships and Cinco de Mayo.   The brand showcase area in the AFM exhibit will bring to life the partnerships and shopper marketing programs, while also featuring an assortment of branded, semi-permanent, portable displays that can be utilized year round to drive incremental sales and consumption.

Furthermore, AFM's national shopper activity will be reinforced with efforts that spotlight big opportunities, like salads. This Fall, AFM will be highlighting the #2 usage occasion for avocados, with a salad-inspired digital hub. A first ever for produce, this e-commerce targeted site will incorporate shoppable salad recipes that initiates user generated content, recipe review capabilities and partnerships with Fresh Gourmet and The Incredible Egg.

AFM will also be partnering with The Incredible Egg to focus on registered dietitian outreach, to connect with consumers by supporting Heart Health and National Nutrition Months as nutrition is the top category driver for avocados.

Additionally, AFM will introduce the "Ready When You're Ready" education program, which focuses on picking, ripening, preserving and serving techniques, to build confidence and value with consumers. Through a partnership with Glad, the brand will also reinforce preserving techniques.

The PMA experience continues with an array of mouthwatering food samplings. The Avo-Matic 2.0 is a new avocado automated kitchen in an Airstream trailer, where guests can custom create an AvoDog. The Guac-on-the Go cart, offers a DIY guac experience with an extensive toppings and sauces bar. For a sweet treat, guests can enjoy the Paleta Cart with frozen avocado popsicles to discover the versatility of the fruit with assorted flavors.

AFM retail guests can also book a reservation to the exclusive Avocado Burger Bar, on the booth's second story level featuring the versatility of avocados. The new VIP burger bar experience encourages retailers to build their ultimate gourmet avocado burger along with an introductory session with AFM's Retail Team to learn about the upcoming programs.

For registered dietitians and retailers interested in learning further about the health and wellness resources, AFM will showcase a space hosted by Barbara Ruhs, MS, RD, LDN,  AFM's health expert, registered dietitian and nutritionist.  She will be on-site to share pre-scheduled avocado dietary counseling and will be leading the PBH RD Program "Networking with influential RD's".

All PMA attendees are welcome to visit AFM's booth #2113 in the West Hall during the PMA Fresh Summit Exhibition to learn about Avocado From Mexico's innovative initiatives for the coming year.
