DETROIT, Feb. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- University of Detroit Mercy's College of Health Professions is offering online information sessions for students interested in three graduate programs in fast-growing nursing fields.
Detroit Mercy's hybrid FNP program prepares the advanced practice nurse to provide primary healthcare services for all individuals and families. FNPs emphasize the family as a unit, health promotion and disease prevention. Detroit Mercy's program focuses on building highly skilled and culturally sensitive practitioners who provide services to the medically underserved.
The 100% online AGCNS program offers graduate degree-seeking students the skills to become an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). This asynchronous program includes active engagement with faculty and equips students to be independent clinicians and to practice across many clinical settings. This program is ranked No. 58 in the country by U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Online Master's in Nursing Program category.
The DNP represents the highest level of clinical nursing competence and is for certified APRNs who are nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, clinical nurse specialists and MSN prepared nurses in specialty areas such as nurse administration, executive leadership and nursing informatics. The online program offers a blend of asynchronous and synchronous delivery with support to ensure remote student participation.
