Triple-S Steel - Mass Hansen and Nexcoil Implement the INVEX Enterprise Software

Triple-S Steel, a steel service center headquartered in Houston, TX, has implemented the INVEX metal enterprise software, at Mass Hansen Steel and Nexcoil flat-rolled metal service centers across 4 locations in California & Arizona.

HOUSTON, Jan. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Triple-S Steel, a steel service center headquartered in Houston, TX, has implemented the INVEX metal enterprise software, at Mass Hansen Steel and Nexcoil flat-rolled metal service centers across 4 locations in California & Arizona. INVEX is the metal service center ERP software from Invera that is e-commerce-enabled.

"We were able to quickly deploy our 3rd set of locations on the INVEX metal software, with no s/w modifications required, in 5 months' time. This included the implementation of the INVEX metal specification validation features throughout Production Planning & warehouse Production Recording app."

Triple-S Steel implemented, at the Mass Hansen and Nexcoil flat rolled metal service center locations, a full complement of INVEX enterprise (ERP) software features, including inventory management, order entry, steel purchasing, shop-floor mobile functions, job scheduling, online shipment planning, as well as the financial applications for AR, AP, and GL.

"We were able to quickly deploy our third set of locations on the INVEX metal software, with no software modifications required, in five months' time. This included the implementation of the INVEX metal specification validation features throughout Production Planning and warehouse Production Recording applications to ensure customer requirements are met." - Mike Livergood, Quality Control at Triple-S

The Sales team benefited from the Order Status Desktop, which shows a comprehensive status of the customer order at a single glance. As the picking, coil slitting, blanking, and cut-to-length processing steps are being recorded in the warehouse, the Sales Department can see the order's status as it goes through each process ? whether scheduled, in process, or complete.

For Production, Mass Hansen and Nexcoil now use an on-line production planning screen, where multiple order items can be highlighted and grouped together to create a single slitting job. The planner can then specify the arbor layout and OD breaks, as well as additional slitting-specific functions such as run full or partial, slit and re-slit, and trim.

For the warehouse, the on-line Shipping Planning function provides a comprehensive, multi-layer inquiry that summarizes orders by customer, delivery route, or delivery zone for better load consolidation. Mill Test Reports, if required, are printed and/or emailed to the customer the moment the item ships.

To extend the use of the INVEX software, Triple-S utilized the toolbox provided by INVEX, to customize multiple business documents, add workflows, and utilize the INVEX Tax API to integrate with a 3rd party tax software for tax calculations. In the warehouse Production Recording application, additional Triple-S specific features were added using the INVEX external URL interface points. These extensions were performed by the INVEX Certified Partner Star Software.
