AFWERX Awards Synaptic Aviation Contract to Increase Safety Procedures Using AI
Synaptic Aviation has been awarded a Direct-to-Phase II SBIR contract by AFWERX to develop AI-powered safety solutions for the U.S. Air Force. The project aims to contribute to innovation in aviation safety through machine learning and computer vision applications.
MIAMI, Dec. 13, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Synaptic Aviation, a U.S.-based technology company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the aviation industry, announces it has been selected by AFWERX for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Direct-to-Phase II contract focused on utilizing the company's enterprise-grade AI software solution to create proactive safety solutions.
The Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the SBIR and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) process by accelerating the small business experience through faster proposal to award timelines, changing the pool of potential applicants by expanding opportunities to small business and eliminating bureaucratic overhead by continually implementing process improvement changes in contract execution.
