ION Clean Energy Finalizes New Board of Directors


Today, ION Clean Energy announced that Matt Vining will be joining ION's Board of Directors as an independent director. Mr. Vining is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Navigator Energy Services, an energy infrastructure company backed by BlackRock's Diversified Infrastructure business and brings over 20 years of experience investing in and managing businesses spanning the energy value chain. Mr. Vining has also served on various boards and served in advisory capacities, including Bluestem Biosciences, Inc. and other BlackRock-sponsored portfolio companies. Mr. Vining was recognized by Oil and Gas Investor Magazine as a Top 40 under 40 executive in the Oil and Gas Industry for 2017 and 2023.

Mr. Vining's appointment comes on the heels of ION's recent $45 million Series A financing led by Chevron New Energies and Carbon Direct Capital. As part of that funding round, Andrew Stead, Principal M&A Consultant in Chevron ?s Corporate Business Development group, was also appointed to ION's Board of Directors. Josh Dienstag of Carbon Direct Capital, Juan Gou of Chevron, and Hanju Jeong of SK, Inc. Materials also joined as Board Observers.

Mr. Vining and Mr. Stead join ION's Founder & Executive Chairman Buz Brown, Manjae Han, Vice President of Business Development for SK, Inc. Materials, and Mr. Vail to complete ION's Board of Directors.
