Breaking School B-BOY & B-GIRL Dojo Captures Growing Interest in Paris 2024 Olympic Breaking to Drive Donations to The Hip Hop Museum

The breaking school is capturing the spike in interest to fuel philanthropic efforts for the construction of The Hip Hop Museum in The Bronx

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / August 8, 2024 / Breaking (breakdancing) is making its debut in the Paris 2024 Olympics. And B-Boy & B-Girl Dojo, the first online breaking school, is leveraging this historic moment by launching a partnership with The Hip Hop Museum (THHM) under construction in the Bronx. This alliance will increase the museum's donations as it prepares to open in late 2025.

In 2015, Jussi ("Focus" Sirviö A.K.A B-Boy Focus) founded B-Boy & B-Girl Dojo because there was no place online to learn how to breakdance. The virtual school filled that void and now the community has breaking courses taught by some of the best dancers and Olympic athletes in the world. Social media giants like B-boys like Roxrite, Menno, Focus, Pluto, Ynot, and Beast Boogie offer exclusive online instruction that is second to none.

"I am happy that we are able to do our part to help build the future home of Hip Hop," says Jussi "Focus" Sirviö, Co-founder and CEO of The B-Boy & B-Girl Dojo. "Breaking is truly global. And it's mind blowing that it started in the Bronx, and that I was chosen to coach Finland's Olympic Breaking team."

Jussi adds that Breaking changed his life and the school's instructors are teaching over one thousand students in 80 countries how to break. "We are happy to have the opportunity to give back and use our global platform and community to help increase donations for The Hip Hop Museum," says Jussi.

THHM is a non-profit organization that has been doing impactful community centered work as a medium for positive change. The museum hosted a free block party with a breaking cypher to celebrate 50 Years of Hip Hop. Their programs include FlowScholar, a platform launched out of a partnership with Microsoft that uses Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) to teach students to write rap lyrics, and My Camera is My Weapon, a photography program that addresses nonviolence among youth and had its inaugural class launched by the museum this summer.

"The Hip Hop Museum is the Official Record of Hip Hop, and includes all elements of the culture, including dance," says Rocky Bucano, Co-Founder and Executive Director of THHM. "We are honored that the B-Boy & B-Girl Dojo wants to use this historic moment and their groundbreaking platform to bring awareness and donations to The Hip Hop Museum. This allows people from all over the world to sign up for this program, learn breaking and utilize it to get in shape and stay healthy."

Lavall "Brisk" Chichester, the CEO and Founder of Growth Skills says that breaking related searches are trending and increasing more than ever on search engines like Google. "As an investor in the B-Boy & B-Girl Dojo and as a B-Boy myself, I'm thrilled that my marketing agency is using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to capture this interest created by the Olympics," says Lavall, adding that the school will give a portion of its online revenue to THHM.

"Our goal is to use this historic moment to increase our enrollment as well as donations to help build The Hip Hop Museum. I love that we can use this unique method and moment to do our part to help build the museum."
