Kide Science and Collaborate Science are named 2024 SIIA CODiE Award finalists

Kide Science and Collaborate Science from Accelerate Learning Inc. were chosen as finalists in the 2024 SIIA CODiE Awards, the industry's only peer-reviewed awards program. CODiE finalists, selected by industry experts, represent the most innovative and impactful products in the Education Technology industry.

Kide Science was named a finalist in the Best PK/Early Childhood Learning Solution category. The research-based STEM program combines storytelling, play-based activities, and hands-on experiences to engage preK-2 learners. Award judges called Kide Science "a best in class product" and said, "The makers of Kide Science have thought deeply around the idea of what will captivate young users and have made it easy for teachers to work with their materials to create magic in the classroom." Commenting on the program's strengths, the judges said, "The substance of the lessons is impressive and reflects well-researched and developmentally appropriate design for students, especially the inquiry-based approach that is used. It is easy to see students engaged and achieving measurable outcomes and transferable skills. ... What this product offers is what student engagement in the classroom should look like."

Collaborate Science was a finalist in the Best Science Instructional Solution for Grades PK-8 category. The K-8 Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) curriculum fuses phenomena-driven, project-based learning for students with focused professional development for teachers. Award judges said, "The product is rich in resources and content. Students connect to the real world and carry out research to solve actual problems they can relate to personally." Commenting on the program's strengths, the judges said, "The NGSS-aligned lessons are superb! The collaborative grouping for instruction and opportunities for learners to work in pairs, triads, or small groups are extremely well-defined. The lesson scripting for teachers and flexibility is excellent."
