Top Leaders From the International Banking and International Insurance Industry Will Be at the Financial Services Forum

The third edition of the Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum (FSF), will bring together top business leaders and government officials on Puerto Rico's International Banking and International Insurance Centers. The 2-day conference will include changes in regulations, latest trends in insurance, compliance, AI, anti-money laundering (AML), cybersecurity, and much more. The event will take place on October 23rd and 24th, this year, at the Sheraton Hotel & Casino Convention Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The event, hosted by the Puerto Rico International Banks Association (PRIBA) and the Puerto Rico International Insurers Association (PRIIA), will bring together over 50 local and international experts, including: Ricardo Lara, Commissioner of Insurance, State of California and former California State senator; Francisco Campos, Insurance Intendant of Dominican Republic; Alexander S. Adams, PR Insurance Commissioner; Natalia Zequeira, PR Commissioner of Financial Institutions; Seth Erbe, Chief of the Financial Fraud and Public Corruption Section for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Puerto Rico; and Sofia Estrada, Special Agent in Charge, FBI, among others important leaders.

"We are at a historic moment where Puerto Rico, as an international banking center, presents multiple benefits for doing business. Framed within the laws and regulations of the United States, safety and incentives issues of the industry are unique for these financial companies. At the FSF, we aim to educate, guide, and update our audiences about the changes and benefits in the laws to attract new investment to the Island," emphasized Eduardo Colón, President of the Puerto Rico International Banks Association.

Hugo Córdova, president of the Puerto Rico International Insurers Association (PRIIA), added: "The FSF will present two days of topics of great interest to both international banks and international insurance centers. Our industries are constantly evolving, and we must keep up to date on regulatory and compliance issues, in addition to seeing the opportunities this represents for business in Puerto Rico," he concluded.
