Greenberg Traurig's Frederick H. Mitsdarfer, III Elected as DCDC's Executive Committee Secretary


Frederick H. Mitsdarfer, III, an associate in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Real Estate Practice in Delaware, was elected to serve as Delaware Community Development Corporation's (DCDC) Executive Committee secretary.

WILMINGTON, Del., May 30, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Frederick H. Mitsdarfer, III, an associate in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Real Estate Practice in Delaware, was elected to serve as Delaware Community Development Corporation's (DCDC) Executive Committee secretary.

According to the DCDC website, DCDC is a nonprofit Certified Development Company that aims to assist and promote economic development within the State of Delaware by serving as lender to small businesses. Since 1979, DCDC has offered long-term, low fixed rate financing to Delaware's small business owners via the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 Loan Program, helping promote business growth and job creation through the purchase or improvement of real estate, equipment, and other fixed assets.

SBA 504 Loans are available through DCDC, which is certified and regulated by the SBA, and DCDC's role is to facilitate the SBA 504 Loans from beginning to end. Under the SBA 504 Loan program, a loan from DCDC and a loan from an SBA approved private sector lender are combined to provide the small business with a loan package containing financing of up to 90% of all project costs, preserving working capital and helping support business expansion and job creation.

Mitsdarfer assists with complex transactions involving the acquisition, finance, development, lease, and disposition of real estate for clients in the lender, developer, owner/operator, joint venture, corporate, and investor space. He assists clients by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the various documents related to a wide range of commercial and industrial real estate transactions, as well as helping with virtually all facets of due diligence, including title. Mitsdarfer also represents clients in many aspects of real estate development, including representing clients in land use and zoning matters before various commissions, boards, and other bodies to pursue necessary land development approvals.
