First Trust Launches New Laddered Portfolio of Buffer ETFs ("BUFR") on Cboe Canada

Cboe Canada (the new business name of the NEO Exchange) is pleased to welcome back return issuer, FT Portfolios Canada Co. ("First Trust") with the launch of the First Trust Cboe Vest Fund of Buffer ETFs (Canada) ETF. The new, "laddered" buffer ETF is now trading under the symbol NEO:BUFR.

This new First Trust ETF seeks to achieve its investment objective by providing unitholders with a capped exposure to U.S. large capitalization companies, included in the S&P 500 index, while limiting downside risk through investment in an equally weighted portfolio of First Trust Cboe Vest U.S. Equity Buffer ETFs ("Underlying ETFs"). Investing in the laddered portfolio of Underlying ETFs will allow the downside protection and cap levels to be reset on a quarterly basis.

"We are excited to partner again with Cboe Canada for the listing of our newest ETF," said Karl Cheong, Head of Distribution at First Trust Canada. "We understand that in today's uncertain economic climate, the priority of every investor is not just to grow, but also to safeguard their portfolio. Our innovative downside protection product has been designed with this in mind, meticulously structured to thrive amidst volatility."

BUFR is now available for trading on Cboe Canada, alongside two other First Trust ETFs. Investors can trade units of all three First Trust ETFs through their usual investment channels, including discount brokerage platforms and full-service dealers. "We are very proud to support First Trust once again with this new listing. The return of an innovative fund manager is an affirmation of Cboe's commitment not only to the success of our issuers, but to fostering growth and innovation in the Canadian ETF market as a whole."
