COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 21, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
606 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,312,991*;
10 new deaths, for a total of 18,073 deaths, i.e.;
1 death in the last 24 hours,
7 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
2 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago; NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,911 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,291 hospitalizations, including 461 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 2 compared to the previous day;
212 new entries,
210 new discharges;
34 people in intensive care, including 25 due to COVID-19, which remains stable compared to the previous day;
13 new entries,
13 new discharges;
5,829 samples conducted on February 19;
324,583 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 273,895 positive: 43 declared for yesterday, including 37 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
1 201 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,912,274 doses received by Quebecers.
