EVENT: Smart grid technical teams review the latest innovations of Digital Substations, SCADA & Control Centres, Utility Telecoms & Cybersecurity

FINAL CALL FOR EARLY BIRD PRICING. The 4th annual SGTech Week 2023, takes place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 20-24 March. Hosted by Smart Grid Forums, this event brings together 150+ utility Substation, SCADA System, Utility Telecom and Cybersecurity colleagues, for a review of the latest smart grid implementation projects and innovation roadmaps. The week-long programme combines a series of Standardisation workshops, with C'level plenary sessions, techno-commercial case-study presentations, technology innovation panel debates, and intimate end-user roundtable discussions, to drive awareness of recent successes and setbacks as well as stimulate new ideas to drive the deployment of the smart grid further faster.

AMSTERDAM, Jan. 20, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Recent research conducted by Smart Grid Forums among 40+ utility technical leaders, reveals that the pressure to drive innovation without disruption to the power grid has never been more intense. The impact of new geopolitical realities, changes to regulatory frameworks, and an ever-intensifying cybersecurity threat landscape, is driving the need for increased regional collaboration and cooperation in order to keep the Energy Transition on track.

"The urgency with which grid operators are now deploying new technologies and strategies to support renewables integration presents both a huge opportunity and a significant threat", says Mandana White, CEO of Smart grid Forums, organisers of SGTech Week 2023. "Utilities know that the pace of innovation right now makes the interconnected energy system vulnerable to serious cyberattack. They also know that working in their own organisational silo will not stimulate the out-of-box thinking needed to deliver the next phase of the Energy Transition in the most safe and secure way".

It is with this in mind that Smart Grid Forums launched SGTech Week 2023 this year, to enable 4 key smart grid technical teams to come together under one roof, participate in technically specific conference tracks, as well as access content on related domains, network in a more diverse environment, and technology-scout as a team.

TESTIMONIALS FROM PAST EDITIONS:

"Great event and a single opportunity to discuss together with peers and industry, the most critical topics in the strategy agenda of a digital DSO; digital substations, telecommunications, cyber security and SCADA challenges."
Aurelio Blanquet, Director of Grid Automation - EDP Distribuicao

"I was extremely sceptical of everything cloud related coming into the conference. However, after seeing many presentations on all the benefits and trends of cloud computing, I have started seeing use-cases in the company that could be related by private cloud."
Andres Kőiva, Senior Specialist - Elektrilevi OÜ

"Good mixture of already modified projects in the field of digital substation and future challenges. Great opportunity to network with the most relevant people and companies."
Fredi Belavic, Asset Manager - Austrian Power Grid

"The exchange with experts provided new inputs, and allowed for a reflection of any ideas. SGTech proved once more to be invaluable."
Michael Knuchel, Head of SAS Engineering - Swissgrid

"A lot of innovation and knowledge shown in the presentations, also thank you for the roundtables organised on day one of the conference."
